SOUTH COAST PAPER HELPS HEWLETT PACKARD AND INTERNATIONAL PAPER UNRAVEL REAM WRAP CHALLENGES
Today’s consumer demand products that are of the highest standard and quality - which is why two of the countries leading corporations, International Paper Corporation (IP) and Hewlett - Packard (HP) chose South Coast Paper to help them solve a difficult dilemma.
Problem: Hewlett-Packard had paper products on retail store shelves with ream wraps that were literally bursting at the seams. The adhesive on the ream wrap was not holding effectively, causing the product to quickly loose appeal and value.
Solution: This ream wrap challenge was no match for SouthCoast Paper. Our company had both the technical, engineering capability and a highly trained staff that was equipped to get the job done quickly and efficiently. Our team utilized an adhesive product that was strong enough to endure the wear and tear of the retail shelf life, and at the same time we created a long term solution by replacing the existing ream wrap with a specified polypropylene ream wrap that was attractive enough to grab the attention of any potential customer, yet maintained its functionality while on retail shelves.
To seal the deal – South Coast Paper tested this newly developed paper solution at our converting facility for several months; and our staff developed a training program for International Paper’s converting operators, giving them new tools that would help them maintain this item while utilizing South Coast Paper’s flexibility to convert all of the ancillary sizes.
